Mr. Sites & Bites On Dining – Dealing with restaurant “no shows”

“No Shows” are a big problem for restaurants.  To deal with the problem many restaurants “over book” (like the airlines and hotels when they can), offer counter dining with no reservations or have a no reservations policy.


The Welge Report for Chicago shows a new alternative for one of the more popular restaurants.

The customer buys a ticket for a specific date and time.  There is no refund but the customer can give it away or sell it.  What do you think?  Will this catch on?
